Brake Repair Maine
Comprehensive brake services to keep you safe on the road. From squeaks to rebuilds, we handle it all.
Stop Safely with Expert Brake Service
Your brakes are the most critical safety system on your vehicle. When you hear a squeal, feel a vibration, or notice a soft pedal, don't wait. Those symptoms usually turn into bigger, more expensive problems—and dangerous ones.
At Grimanis Garage, Sarah Mitchell leads our brake department. She's ASE-certified and has spent years mastering the art of stopping power. Whether you drive a daily commuter, a family SUV, or a heavy-duty truck, we'll get your brakes dialed in right.
We don't just slap on the cheapest pads. We inspect the entire system—rotors, calipers, hoses, fluid, and hardware—to make sure the job is done correctly the first time.

Signs You Need Brake Service
Don't ignore these warnings. Early repair saves money and lives.
- Squealing or Grinding: High-pitched squeals usually mean pads are worn to the wear indicators. Grinding means metal-to-metal contact—rotors are likely damaged.
- Soft or Spongy Pedal: If your pedal goes to the floor, you may have air in the lines, a fluid leak, or worn master cylinder seals.
- Hard Pedal: A pedal that's hard to push often indicates a vacuum booster issue or seized caliper.
- Vehicle Pulling: If your car pulls to one side when braking, you likely have a stuck caliper or uneven pad wear.
- Vibration: Pedal or steering wheel shake usually means warped rotors.
- Warning Light: The brake or ABS light on your dashboard means something in the system needs attention.
